1870 Church
Church was purchased and renovated to become a primary residence.
Front Door
Customer wanted amber, clear and red stain glass. Each piece was cut by hand.
Front Door Arch
Steve spent a lot of time hand cutting each piece to fit. The results are beautiful!
Front Door Arch - before
The arch was in pretty bad shape. Plastic was cut and then spray painted. Steve used the plastic pieces as templates when cutting the new glass.
Hand Cut Stained Glass
Each upper sash in the sanctuary had curved pieces. We alternated jade and cobalt throughout the windows. The center amber circle was kept consistent throughout.
Full length sancutary windows
These windows were about 8’ tall from sill to arch!
Overview of the project size
The project took a couple weeks to complete. Scaffolding was needed to reach the upper sashes.
Functional Windows
These windows became stunning works of art—both functional and beautiful.
Craftsman at Work
Steve & Brad installing an upper sash. The scaffolding was less than optimal, but moving slowly and purposfully yielded outstanding results.
Before Sash Repair
This upper sash needed major repair with new horizontal and vertical muntins. Thankfully this was the only sash in this bad of shape.
After Sash Repair
We built new muntins, added glass, and reinstalled the sash. It’s tricky securing new wood to 155 year old wood!
