Preserving Your Home’s Heritage

At Old Time Windows, our goal is to repair your existing windows, maintaining your home’s historic value. We only repair double-hung, rope and pulley windows standard on homes built between roughly 1880 and 1935.

The more you know about the lack of quality in today’s windows compared to those handcrafted from center cut old growth wood of decades ago; the more you will appreciate the value of the historic home windows. The objective of restoring your old windows is to maintain and retain the original look and quality these windows offer and have them function smoothly.

Estimates are free, and work is guaranteed for two years.

About Us

Craftsmen Steve & Scott are all residents of Kansas City who love the Chiefs, barbecue, and historic homes. After Scott repaired the windows on his 1919 Arts & Crafts Prairie Style home, his neighbors saw how well his windows functioned and lined up to be next. The business, Old Time Windows, specializing in residential double-hung rope and pulley windows, has grown to become the premier historic window repair business in the Kansas City area.

I feel like Scott Busch is the guy you want: He reroped and tuned several one-over-one double-hung in our new house on Jefferson, and when we lived at W 38th he completely restored a few of the originals.

Old Time Windows fixed my woefully ignored 80 year old windows so that they actually open and close now. They were cracked and coated with layers of paint. Now I can enjoy a fresh breeze whenever I feel like it.
